At some point the real cowboys, the ones who aren’t oil men driving $85 000 pristine looking trucks with GPS units,
with recreational ranches, the ones who care about the environment because they actually work it - because they are real ranchers! - are going to flip-out, on all those poser ranchers. If you ask me, this is definitely a movie Clint Eastwood should direct – he can call it “The Return of the Real Men… and Women."

Back in January 2002 Justin (Haynes) Nick (Fraser) and myself (Jordan O’Connor) spent 4 nights recording at a studio space
in Toronto Canada – Ratspace. We recorded around 12 hours of music and as I listen to it now, what strikes me as interesting is just how much music this trio has made, and how deep it runs within me.

The other day I was listening to music and thinking about life. As I listened I drifted into a timeless calm, a wondrous peaceful place where things felt whole, then suddenly, as if unexpectedly rocked in a small boat, my mind saw the reality it left behind and yelled – “What the hell happened!” Read Entry here >>>

The reason why globalization will never work is simple: money. The belief that an open market will naturally do the moral thing is unfounded. In fact, there is little to suggest that an open market will even do the best economic thing. It’s not that the idea of globalization cannot work—it can…as an idea. However, as a reality there is simply no way. There is no illustration in Western history of the economy protecting society; in fact, Western commerce has historically been dependent upon slavery and the seizure of land.

Something strange happened when I turned 30, something I couldn’t talk about at the time. I realized, unequivocally, that I was a failure. All that I thought I would be wasn’t true. I had comforted myself with the understanding that one day I would be something, achieve something, make right by and mend something; be in some way significant.  But when I turned 30 the fallacy was revealed; just another chump, just a boring, brain dead adult.
