Am I Becoming a Scrooge? Okay, before you burn me at the stake let me just say, in the end, after I've questioned whether this whole Jesus as the Son of God thing, let me say this all goes to a good place - for believers and non-believers and kids that just want to get through Christmas without too many hitches or disappointments. In fact, to even clarify that this holiday blog is for everyone, let me say that I'm writing this while listening to a Christmas album by Sufjan Stevens, an exceptional artist and album that was recommended to me from a jewish comedian friend of mine. I had a Shiatsu massage the other day, which I guess indicates that I have some extra money from time to time and therefore can’t really complain about anything every again ... I couldn’t help thinking I was kobe beef or something ... she moved my entire shoulder/arm around in circles and I felt like a mangy stray dog lying on it’s side, half dead, that she was using magical hands to bring back to life.  Read Entry Here >>>

In the end this will all make sense, it’ll all come together, a nice bow, around a nicely wrapped package.  I’ll enlist G.I. Joe, Barbie, girls, grass, and 45 degree angles to sum up the way I’m seeing it all today.  But maybe in the end, my desire to tie up all nicely is precisely the problem. Read Entry Here >>>

Well, for me, in regards to making films to this point, I’ve been batting around .087 or something – NOT very good at all. I’m the guy in the roster where the team cringes when he comes to bat, you know, just when you had a few men on base and things we’re looking up.

It was supposed to be a simple short film, a quick one and done.  The fast completion dazzling film-lovers and would-be gatekeepers, sashaying me into meetings and discussions for future more elaborate feature productions.  It was supposed to be a stepping stone, that thing you run and jump onto in grade school, the gymnastic studies part in phys ed, where you run all at once and slam your feet onto this thing, this spring board to the stars, this …. thing you trip over, causing you to slam your body into the balance beam because you mis-timed it all, over-thought it, and just made it all more difficult than it had to be.  Well, it’s five years later and I’m ready to talk about this. I know Blog doesn’t mean internet dating service, but I feel like I should start off with a little bit of a profile before we get this whole thing going.  So, sit back and try not to slip into a coma as I introduce myself to you.
