Pookums Strikes Back!
Pookums will be screening in Winnipeg, Manitoba February 8th.
Great news, imagineNATIVE Film Festival chose Pookums as one of the "best of" for 2006, and as such we'll be screening along with some other great works in Winnipeg, MB. The screening will be at 7PM at the Winnipeg Cinematheque, 100 Arthur St.. Zonnebloem Quartet played new compositions by Jordan O'Connor, December 14th in Toronto The concert featured a group of new works, including "The Holiday Cycle" and "The Last Winter" as well as other works. The concert was held at the Heliconian Hall, in Toronto. For those who came, many thanks. The best news is that we taped the event and music will be made available on-line shortly.

On February 9th, 2006 Jordan O'Connor's Cash went into Canterbury Studios in Toronto, ON, Canada and recorded, live off the floor, 27 new songs ... in 8 hours. In the studio for the hit-a-thon where Jordan O'Connor on bass, Craig Harley on piano, David French on saxophone, and Nick Fraser on drums. I don’t get it. Try as I might I always end up at the end of a conversation with the tables turned. The tables turned as I have somehow managed to have a conversation end up about me. I am no Paris Hilton. At least I try hard not to read anything about her, and in reality think that the media is just a bit crazy to care so much about her considering she can only pose for the cameras and that is her single talent. But somehow—without the fame, money and connections—I manage to be just like her. In the only sense that I seem to want everyone I talk to, well, to talk about me. Read Entry here >>>

At some point the real cowboys, the ones who aren’t oil men driving $85 000 pristine looking trucks with GPS units, with recreational ranches, the ones who care about the environment because they actually work it - because they are real ranchers! - are going to flip-out, on all those poser ranchers. - we've sold two of our short films to a distributor, OUAT Media! Very fun. Apparently they're going to be on TV soon. When they are we'll let you know.

- "Pookums" and "The Squeeze Box" have been selected to be a part of the 4th Annual Weeneebeg Aboriginal Film & Video Festival, held in Moose Factory, Ontario. The festival will be taking place March 8th-11th, 2007 and Shane Belcourt will be heading up to represent the films. Festival details can be found at thier website: www.weeneebeg.ca
